AUSTIN (KXAN) — Austin Police Officer Jorge “George” Pastore, who died in the line of duty Nov. 11, will be honored in Austin Friday morning.Law enforcement is expected to begin setting up for the funeral procession at 7 a.m., and all vehicles equipped with emergency lights and sirens were invited to join. The procession for Pastore’s final patrol will begin at 8 a.m.KXAN will use this story to host the livestream of the procession and funeral. CLAYTON, Mo. - The Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis arrested a suspect in a homicide in Clayton.18-year-old Trenell Johnson is accused of killing 41-year-old Joshua Harris on Monday. According to court documents, Harris was shot after he confronted Johnson, who was reportedly breaking into cars near Wydown Boulevard. Suspect wanted and charged in fatal Clayton shooting, victim identified Detectives explained that Johnson was out on bond for other car theft charges and should've been wearing a GPS bracelet, but he has failed to abide by the GPS condition of his bond. EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. - Emergency crews are continuing to battle an hours-long house fire in East St. Louis. Our Bommarito Automotive Group SkyFOX helicopter is flying over the area located on North 22nd Street, where the fire initially started in a vacant building, then spread to an occupied home. Two people were living in the house at the time: a woman in a wheelchair and her adult daughter. ST. LOUIS - A St. Louis City police officer was taken to the hospital after he was involved in a crash overnight downtown while responding to a shooting call.Washington Avenue and Broadway are where the officer-involved crash happened. The scene there cleared just a short time ago. The call that the officer was responding to was just a block or two from the scene.All of this took place around 3:15 a.m. Police said that there was a single police officer in the unit when it was involved in a crash with a minivan. There was significant damage to both vehicles. The good news is that it appears that both the officer and the other driver are going to be okay.That call originally went out as a shooting. Police shared that it turns out that a security guard for a nearby Hampton Inn confronted suspects breaking into vehicles on a lot outside the hotel.
