Two-Vehicle Collision Near Flynn Drive Trapped One ChildCANYON COUNTY, CA (July 7, 2023) – Sunday morning, an off-duty nurse rescued a child from a suspected DUI crash on Jason Drive.According to the report, the collision at the intersection of Jason Drive and Flynn Drive in the neighborhood of Canyon Country.Police said the two-vehicle crash caused one of the cars, determined to be a white four-door sedan, to hit and damage a fire hydrant.Shawn Spencer, who was an off-duty nurse in the area, tend to the victims before the first responders arrived. Spencer reported seeing the driver of the white sedan with injuries. Afterward, Spencer extricated a child occupant in the passenger seat from the same vehicle.Eventually, deputies arrived at the scene and arrested a 26-year-old driver from Canyon County for suspected DUI. 76-Year-Old Woman Pronounced Dead after 2-Car Accident near Walnut AvenueLAS VEGAS, NV (July 7, 2023) – Tuesday night, a 76-year-old woman died in a two-vehicle crash on North Eastern Avenue.Las Vegas Police responded to the scene around 5:18 p.m., north of Walnut Avenue after receiving multiple dispatch calls in the area.Officers say the driver of a 2017 GMC 2500 entered a private driveway off of Eastern Avenue. SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- A cruise ship that suffered damages after hitting Pier 27 while docking in San Francisco Thursday remains standing at the pier and won't leave until at least Sunday, KRON4 has learned. WASHINGTON (AP) — Federal safety officials say they will investigate an engine fire that was discovered on a United Airlines Boeing 737 Max after the plane landed in Newark, New Jersey.The National Transportation Safety Board disclosed the investigation Friday, when it issued a preliminary report on the June 28 incident. DALLAS (AP) — Two men were arrested Friday in a shooting that killed three people and injured eight others as a crowd of hundreds gathered in a Texas neighborhood on the eve of the Fourth of July, police said.Christopher Redic Jr., 20, and Brandon Williams, 19, were both taken into custody on murder charges related to the shooting late July 3 in the Fort Worth neighborhood of Como, Fort Worth police Chief Neil Noakes said. Noakes said investigators believe the shooting was gang-related and followed some kind of altercation.He said there could be additional arrests.
